What book are you most excited for that’s releasing later in 2022?
I can’t wait for the next Dorothy Koomson book, My Other Husband.
Her books never fail to keep me gripped she is the queen of the thriller and always has a jaw dropping big reveal up her sleeve, her latest sounds like she’ll deliver again….
Someone is trying to frame me for murder.
They’re hurting people in the ways I write about – and making sure I’m the prime suspect.
I think I know why.
But I can’t tell the police or even use my rock-solid alibi . . .
Because then I’d have to confess about my other husband.
And it’s released 7th July, the day after my birthday.
What book has been the most surprising read in 2022?
Impossible by Sarah Lotz.
It promised to be a rom com like no other, I was skeptical. There’s surely only so much you can do with a rom com?
It was indeed a rom com like no other, it surprised me, it kept me guessing and I loved it. You really should give it a go, you can read my full review here
What’s your favourite book review or book themed post you’ve ever written?
One of my favourite reviews was about Dear Reader by Cathy Rentzenbrink
It’s a lovely book all about the love of reading and it stirred up a lot of memories about the books I love and have read.
I also enjoyed coming up with my own reading list after I finished The Reading list by Sara Nisha Adams, I loved the idea behind the book – so came up with my own list of eight books that simply mean the world to me.
Do you prefer buying new books or working through your backlist?
Erm, both….
At the minute I’m reading a lot of new releases so have neglected my back list, I never seem to make a dent in it.
I tend to be a massive mood reader so generally, it doesn’t matter that much whether it’s new or old.
Bit of a cop out that answer really.
Who’s your ultimate book OTP?
Had to google what OTP means, I’m old okay. So it means one true paring.
I’m not a big romance reader but a couple I adored were Ove and Sonya from A man called Ove.
I absolutely loved this book, it’s one of my all time favourites, it’s wonderful.
